It’s Exciting!!! to be Making Plans for Summer

Posted on Updated on

As I mentioned in an earlier post that we volunteered to be camp hosts in Telegraph Cove this summer.

This was a difficult decision for us as we usually have been in “paid” positions. This job means all expenses to get there are on us without a “salary.” We decided the adventure and exploring a part of the island we haven’t been to is compensation enough.

Telegraph Cove, BC. It’s a beautiful spot on the Johnstone Straight and near Port Hardy. The RV park is 48 spaces and very popular with international campers. Check it out here.

We have been as far as Campbell River back in 2004 when we went on a week-long kayak camping trip out of Cortes Island and kayaked through Desolation Sound.

We are so excited to have this opportunity to explore this part of Vancouver Island. More exciting is the fact that we are making ferry reservations TODAY! And they are having a sale to boot on ferry fees!! A Win – Win!

We will sail out of Vancouver, BC to Nanaimo. We are looking for a space to park for the night once we arrive. Canadian Tire seems to let RVers park in their parking lot. An email has been sent to them to make sure. Wal-Mart and Cabelas do not allow overnight parking.

Plans are starting to jell. It’s going to be a great summer.

Life is so good! God’s love is amazing and real.
