Our days are filled with exercise, cooking delicious meals and the many activities the city of Lodi provides for the community. The weather has stayed at a pretty constant 90 degrees since we have been here so that makes for an enjoyable evening out as the Delta winds blow in to cool things down.
We went to the last community band concert of the season at Hutchins Park. We took a picnic dinner, our chairs and enjoyed an evening of wonderful music.
Another evening, Dorana, Dale and I went to Hutchins Amphitheater to enjoy a members boxed dinner and music. Doris and Dale support the Hutchins Street Square projects. This night was Member Appreciation night. Sack lunches were provided along with wine and soft drinks. It was a very fun evening especially with the band, Big Booty Bob and the Backside Kickers.
We sat next to a couple of gals who were from Meridian, Idaho – where my son lives. Small world. On my side, a woman who is the daughter of one of Doris’ best friends sate with her husband. We talked about RVing and our travels this last year. It was a great evening.
Another event was the Vintage Fashion Show and luncheon put on by the local churches in the area. We were on the banks of the Mokelumne River in the backyard of this beautiful home. There were about 100 women there enjoying the a delightful lunch and clothes we all remembered.
Life is good. God shows His mercy minute by minute!
