Summer Beauty

Posted on

It is always a delight to visit the folks during the summer months. Dale Sr. has planted many, many rose bushes and flowers galore. You can always find enough for a bouquet to grace the table.

Among the flowers and bushes you can also find fruit trees. Right now, I am looking at a Tangerine Tree out my back window. There are apple, plum and peach trees around the backyard. Behind the Tangerine Tree is what looks to be a lemon tree but right now we can’t tell as the fruit is green. I have been the recipient of lemons right off the tree and I can say, through experience, that the lemons in the store are yuck compared to the ones off the tree. Pretty much like every fruit fresh from the plant that produces it.

So I share with you some of what is blooming and/or growing around the Prohaska house that Dale Sr has spent 40 years cultivating.

The plants and trees were a little neglected while Dale Sr was in the hospital. We are watering now to make up for the lack of water then.

Life is still good!
God shows us so much about ourselves. I hope we are listening.

I love lemon trees.. I use to take leaves and place them in glass bowl and put in my bathroom. Those photos are wonderful. A lot of work goes into a garden – Gods Treasure Garden where love is so the evidence of his Gifts.

I miss roses so much. Can’t grow them in FL…to hot and too humid. Had lemon, lime orange and peach trees in CA,,,oh what wonderful fruit. Know you are enjoying all the flowers and fruits. Do miss having a garden, but love the travel more. Gods bounty is so wonderful!

That IS the one thing I miss about the RV life – a garden. But there are plenty of Farmers Markets across this wonderful land that keep those “wants” at bay! I love the traveling more too!
