before we left Nashville! The tour driver touted this as a “famous” restaurant because “famous” people eat here. The place: Pancake Pantry in Nashville.
On a cloudy, misty and cold day we drove into Nashville to have breakfast at Pancake Pantry. When we got there the line didn’t look too bad so we parked and planted ourselves just a few feet from the front door. Upon looking at the situation, the line progressed into the foyer and then into the dining room. What can I say? We just had to eat here.
It was worth the wait. Our waitress was delightful and helpful. Our breakfast came quickly and it was delicious. I had the Ham Scramble with French Toast and everything was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. We all agreed this is the best breakfast house around. Oh, they have like 23 different kinds of pancakes and have had since they opened in 1961. Dale had Buckwheat cakes and Potato cakes. Yummy – all yummy.
We leave Nashville tomorrow for the Blue Smokey Mountains. We had a great time here and hope we can get back here sometime.
