I am so sorry about not posting for a spell. One day we were retired and enjoying New Mexico and the next we were headed across 4 states and into a different time zone – employed.
It was a crazy drive from Santa Fe to Durango, Co. and then to Provo, UT. We spent the night in an Elks Club parking lot. They had full hookups, but since we were leaving around 6 am we didn’t use them. Yes, we were up and on the road at 6:20am. We drove across the salt flats and by Salt Lake. And also the city. We made it to Reno the second day of driving. Whew, that was a horrible ride because it was so fast and furious.
While Dale went to see his son and granddaughter, I cleaned house and sat in the hot tub. Oh, that was so nice for the hurting bones in my body after sitting for so many hours. Then we left the next day to join our friends Terry and Kathy at their camp host job on the Little Truckee River. Tuesday we finally arrived at Indian Valley Campground and got all set up. If you have followed us on our adventure through New Mexico you know we like privacy where we camp. Well, not so here. We are out in the open and up close and personal will most of the campers in this campground. LOL And those lovely children delight in going around the loop many, many times which takes them right by our RV!!! 🙂
Today was our first day of being Camp Hosts for 6 campgrounds in the area. Now, to keep doing the same old job day in and day out for 3 months. ARGH!!!! But we will replenish our bank account from the expenses from medical bills and truck maintenance. We can do this. We can do this!
So out of retirement and back into the job market and uniforms. The life of the Prohaska’s. Life is still good. And God even better.
