It’s 85 Degrees Today!

Posted on Updated on

Wow, it was hot today. It may be time to head to higher elevations. Dale got a burr in his saddle and took off up the mountain to hike 2. 9 miles to a cabin and springs. He actually did it! Although, there wasn’t much water in the spring.

This gave me a day all by myself and I enjoyed it immensely! I know he will be beat so we won’t be moving on tomorrow. That’s okay. We are in no hurry.

Kim sent photo’s of Chloe today. She is 5 months old this month.

Hi, always love to read your blog stories and website. Have been reading it for about a year every day! We are traveling the USA right now as well. The pictures from Dale’s hike (to the Apache village) are awesome. Our cat is traveling with us. Good luck on your travels and keep up the good work!

we have our own website. That’s basically our blog. The images from Dale’s walk yesterday are great. It is totally weird. My husband and I have followed your website for almost a year. It is like we “know” you. We read your stories on RVecafe every day and of course this blog. We are from Indiana, but have spent the last 4 months in Texas. Next stop will be Balmorhea SP in Texas. We’ll probably go from El Paso into New Mexico after that, and want to get this SP pass. Keep the nice stories going.

We are headed to El Paso tomorrow. Going to Costco!! Miss Costco. A lot! Then we will leave there to Las Cruces over to Demming to the SKP park for the night and then up to the City of Rocks State Park. We are going to be in the Silver City area for awhile. Look us up if you are there when we are!!! Too cool if we get to meet up.

The Gila National Forest area is beautiful. My husband has been there once cycling. we’ll be in that area in a week or 2. We still want to visit Fort Davis, and Marfa in West Texas, and the McDonald Observatory in Fort Davis. Beautiful area there. Thursday we’ll leave for Balmorhea a SP with a natural spring and swimming pool with natural spring water, in the middle of the desert! Never been there but it sure sounds interesting.

I wrote you when we were in Willcox, AZ and you were on Haekel Rd. near Safford. We spent about 2 weeks there in spring 2009. Like it. It’s interesting to read your blog to read your impressions of areas that we have also visited. We have almost 600 watts of solar so we boondock most of the time. Our datastorm # is 2152. Happy and safe traveling.
