Dust, Desert Dust

Annie watching the wind storm.

If you aren’t on facebook, you won’t know that we made it through the 50 mph winds yesterday and last night. Wow! New Mexico knows how to blow. The dust was coming out of the southwest and when it finally reached us we couldn’t see the end of the lake or the highway that is over yonder. We were rocking and rolling in our rig to the point I got sea sick. I finally gave up and went to bed.

There's a road out there somewhere.

I think we are off to the caves today to do the walk down. Very good exercise. Then I hope to meet up with a “Campground Crafter” who is in Carlsbad. It is  fun meeting people I have gotten to know on internet and have been friends for years. Hopefully, we will get to go to dinner as they are leaving tomorrow. Pictures to follow if we have a meet up!

A hedgehog cactus with many colors.
Don't know what this is yet, but it is full of pollen and is very fragrant. Achoo! Gesundheit!
Trails around the campground.
Couldn't resist the water! It was surprisingly clear water.
