Here we are – on the beach! Well, actually we are on Alsea Bay boondocking. There is a big too-do in town this weekend. Something about cars and crabs???? Don’t know if our area will fill up with campers or not.
This morning we watched a big heron catch a fish. Actually, I think he stabbed a fish with his beak. The fish was a very flat fish, white with fins that were black and white stripped. The heron would shake his head, drop the fish in the water and then stab it again – over and over. It looked as if he was washing it too, but then it kept coming back up muddy. Yes, the fish was probably dead by this time. He flew off before we could see him eat it or was it that I was eating breakfast and didn’t want to see any more habits of the heron!
Today will be laundry and exploring this area. I don’t think we have ever stopped here and just explored. Dale is working on his class, so don’t know how long that will take. I better buzz over to the laundry then and get it going. Always laundry!
Here is our cat. We adopted her from a person who was allergic to cats. He had rescued her from dogs. She was about 6 weeks old when we got her. She looks like she has calico and a black stripped kind of cat in her. She has these big green eyes that can look on you with disdain or love! She is about 6 years old now and has caught on to the procedure of moving. When we get ready to go, putting in the slides and hooking up she goes and hides. When we make stops along the way she sits at the door. When we stop for the night and the door is opened she zooms out! We are so happy she is being co-operative because my biggest fear is leaving her behind when we pull out from a stop. We don’t think she will get far from her dog, Morgan, because they are best pals.
I made this recipe last night. Lasagna in a pan. It was so easy and took about 10 minutes to put together and 20 to 25 minutes to cook. The recipe calls for hamburger and you can surely use that but I used Italian sausage we had. Use your imagination and you can come up with a custom dish all your own. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Skillet-Bow-Tie-Lasagna/Detail.aspx?prop31=1
Have a great day. We intend to! Lord willing.
