We had a wonderful day today in John Day. Temps were in the high 70’s so that was so nice. We went on over to the fairgrounds for an open horse show. We got in on the tail end *no pun intended* and watched the riders take their horses through a series of obstacles. We met Neil and Jan. Jan rides and according to Neil he enables her! Jan had her 4-H girls there and a couple of them took first and second ribbons.
Then we went shopping. Those that know me know that my husband loves to shop. We hit many stores in town. He was looking for a radio. Remember those? We found a few boom boxes and weather radio’s but didn’t want to spend the money they wanted. We just wanted AM/FM. We found one at Kings. It is a crank radio and/or batteries. It works well and was 50% off. So we are listening to our $6 radio.
We went to Skeins, a wwonderful yarn store. She sure packed a lot of great yarn in a small space and it was busy! They had just finished a felting workshop and I missed it. I didn’t buy anything but sure wanted to. I want to learn how to crochet but can’t find a beginner book.
I don’t have any photo’s but you can probably see some over at Dale’s website. We ate dinner outside and then planned to go to the concert in the park. So we walked 4 or 5 blocks to the park and no one was there. So I guess we had the wrong park. The sign just say “in the park.” Maybe up in Canyon City. We had a great walk and now time for some sitting and resting! I hope you all had a great day!
